In 1994, CEO and Managing Partner, Steve Lucy co-founded the Dallas office of JQ, one of Texas’ top engineering firms. With one engineer and an assistant, Steve has grown the Dallas office overlooking Lee Park near Uptown Dallas to a team of more than 100 engineers and staff with headquarters in Dallas’ Design District and offices in Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Lubbock.
JQ provides structural and civil engineering, geospatial and facility performance services in diverse markets such as cultural, education, government, healthcare, hospitality and sports and recreation.
Throughout his career, Steve has built an impressive track record involving a diverse portfolio of engineering projects. Among JQ’s most notable projects are the William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas; the Trinity River Campus East for Tarrant County College District, Fort Worth, Texas; the Engineering Education Complex (formerly Zachry Building) for Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas; the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe Expansion, Dallas, Texas; the Toyota Pavilion Music Factory in Irving, Texas; and the American Cemetery Visitor and Interpretive Center, Manila, Philippines.
