Ana Castillo-Guerrero Owner & Co-Founder, The Latin Pig
Ana Castillo Guerrero and her husband John founded The Latin Pig, a Plano-based restaurant serving authentic Cuban cuisine with many of the menu items being family recipes. The couple is passionate about Cuban flavors and brought the culture to the Dallas market.
As a daughter of a Cuban Chef in New York City, opening a restaurant in Texas was a dream come true for Ana. The Latin Pig Restaurant is a family owned and operated business, focused on providing true Cuban flavors, as though you are eating in Ana’s momma’s kitchen. With a lifetime worth of experience, Ana’s 58-year-old mother is the chef at The Latin Pig.
The cuisine at The Latin Pig can be traced back to the 16th century and it is a fusion of Cuban, Native Latin American Indian, and Caribbean influences. The food is healthy, prepared daily on site, genuine to Ana and her family’s homeland and full of flavor in an authentic Havana 1950s décor.
